?Designing and configuring database architecture, including hardware and physical layout
?Handling 'best practice' database troubleshooting, corruption, backup, disaster recovery and security
?Provide 24x7on call coverage (on a rotating basis) and troubleshoot database issues individually or through a team effort
?Provide support to Database Developers and Software Engineers on SQL Server related issues
?Review and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, SQL Server configuration settings, and performance
?Investigate and resolve data issues as needed
?Perform routine database maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning
?Create documentation for DBA procedures and production database environment
?Must be methodical and able to establish priorities
?Must be able to recognize confidential data issues and maintain this confidentiality
?Experience in implementing custom .NET SQL Server high-availability and high performance solutions including clustering, replication and ETL in a very high volume database transaction environment.
?Provide support for Clustering environment, DTS packages, SSIS packages, and Transactional/Merge replication
?Install SQL Server in production, development and quality assurance environments
?Backup and restore databases on live, development or quality assurance servers as needed

Requirements: The following are the minimum requirements for consideration.

?B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
?Minimum 5 years of experience working with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server (2000 and 2005).
?Demonstrated experience with all of the following required: Transact-SQL, DTS, SSIS, Replication, Clustering, Log Shipping (ETL), disaster recovery, backup/restore, tuning query performance, using Profiler traces and other performance diagnostic tools.
?Experience as a database administrator including on-call duties.

To enhance your candidacy, you should also have:
