Oracle Database Developer/Lead to work on complex OLTP and DWH systems for fortune 1000 companies. The candidate must enjoy and excel working on mission critical business applications. Experience working in a fast paced technical environment a plus.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Managing complex OLTP and DWH systems
2. Maintaining and developing batch routines to load and support an OLTP database
3. Designing, building and maintaining metadata driven ETL workflows for a DWH
4. Building OLAP cubes and aggregates
5. Working closely with DB Architect to achieve objectives
6. Analyzing business rules, project requirements and documenting technical specifications
7. Ensuring proper system integration between business rules, applications, and database implementation
8. Constructing logical and physical data models with support
9. Updating and maintaining metadata and database dictionaries
10. Writing DML to build database objects and enforcing naming standards
11. Designing sql*loader modules , PL/SQL packages, procedures and functions for batch processing
12. Building and running UNIX shell scripts
13. Facilitating efforts to clean and maintain databases by repairing data integrity issues, implementing constraints and removing offending data
14. Ensuring database performance and resolving problems
15. Resolving programmatic flaws and providing database and analytic support through a ticketing system
16. Providing metrics and project planning updates to project managers
17. Fostering cross team communication
18. Assisting and leading team through many of the responsibilities described herein


Qualifications & Skills:
1. 5+ years of progressive software development lifecycle experience
2. 3+ years experience with Oracle PL/SQL in 10g UNIX environment
3. 2+ years experience with a BI platform, specifically ETL and OLAP Cube development
4. Experience programming in a PL/SQL batch environment with high transaction throughput requirements
5. Experience building meta-data driven ETL routines for large DWH projects
6. Proven experience leading and directing small database development teams
7. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills; creative solutions development
8. Strong analytical skills matched with strong SQL skills
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills
10. Expertise in UNIX fundamentals
11. Experience working in a project driven environment with strict time lines is a plus
12. Ridiculously diligent approach to documentation
