Job Description

We are looking for a strong server-side developer to assist in implementing its Valuations Market Data Platform. The platform will provide Middle Office and Front Office teams access to sanitized real-time and EOD market data from different vendors and exchanges. It will ensure that inter and intra market spreads are consistent and reliable, and that the validation framework for cleansing data is streamlined and centralized.

Roles and Responsibilities

Work with Middle Office and Portfolio Managers to understand business processes and workflows.

Transform business requirements into robust solutions under tight deadlines.

Actively contribute, support, and maintain a cross-asset market data engine that supports dynamic rules.

Design, implement, test, deploy, and support scalable services in a distributed system.

Develop a clean, maintainable, testable, and extensible codebase using agile methodologies, including an automated build pipeline.

Refine and improve system stability by continuously refactoring and measuring performance.

Desired Skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of financial industry experience
  • Extensive Java and Python experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of streaming market data systems for exchanges or vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters) is a plus
  • Experience working with rule engines is a plus
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience, and experience working with the Kafka messaging bus are a plus
