Sixth Street – Workplace Technology Engineer - Dallas, Houston, or Austin (hybrid)

The Role

Sixth Street is looking for a talented Workplace Technology Engineer interested in growing their career in a small engineering team with big goals. As a Workplace Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and supporting Sixth Street’s Microsoft 365 platform. You will leverage your system administration skills to support existing and future systems in order to enable seamless integration into Sixth Street’s environment globally. You will configure and maintain our end user device management platform to standardize and secure Windows and iOS devices at scale. There will be a focus on Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure, configuration management and security to leverage corporate identity, network connectivity, and device types, helping to improve employee productivity. You will utilize your expert-level experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure AD architecture, administration, and best practice recommendations combined with a strong current and deep experience in security, legal and regulatory/compliance controls required for cloud environments.

Core Responsibilities

· Subject Matter Expert and Administrator for:

o Microsoft 365 configuration and policies

o Microsoft Exchange Online

o Azure and Azure secure configuration with Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) policies for Microsoft 365, Azure AD Identity Protection, Conditional Access (CA)

o Compliance & data retention leveraging Microsoft 365 Data Loss Protection (DLP), Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), & Native Microsoft 365 capabilities such as retention policies

o Microsoft Endpoint Manager supporting various device platforms (Windows/iOS/Mac/Windows365) through corporate enrollment (Autopilot/Apple Business Manager)

o Test and create RBAC in Microsoft 365, on-premise Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Okta

o Windows and iOS devices including packaging and patch management

· SaaS/Hardware Inventory, Asset Management and Lifecycle Management

· Development and implementation of support strategies including leveraging ticketing systems, building documentation, and creating runbooks for Sixth Street’s Service Desk team

· Effectively translate technical specifications, errors, and business logic through written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical customers

· Manage problem resolution to a satisfactory completion by keeping track of ongoing issues and following the proper escalation processes via our ticketing system 

Qualifications

· 5+ years as an O365 Engineer and 10+ years professional technology experience

· Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 Platform, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Endpoint Manager, Security & Compliance Center, Microsoft 365 and OneDrive

· Expert knowledge of AD, Azure Active Directory, Enterprise Mobility Suite and the Microsoft Identity Platform

· Experience Microsoft Endpoint Manager leveraging Autopilot or MDM management

· Expert knowledge of PowerShell for managing on-premises and O365 environment

· Experience with PowerShell, LDAP, Active Directory, Azure AD, API’s

· Familiar with application monitoring tools, reviewing log files, and be available on occasion for off hours emergency support for critical applications

· In-depth knowledge of Office365 licensing and features

· PowerShell scripting expertise within Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Teams / SharePoint

· Possesses broad knowledge base of Microsoft 365 technical architecture and the inter dependencies with other enterprise services in O365/Azure technology stack

· Service Health monitoring using Microsoft 365 console and actively respond based on system alerts and notification

Preferred

· Preferably 15+ years overall IT experience

· Mac device management experience

· iOS device management experience

· Okta Administration (SSO, SCIM, group management, etc) and integrations

· SaaS application administration;

o Box

o Zoom

o Slack

o Adobe Creative Suite

o Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)

· Progressive experience in developing technical solutions using O365 Suite of products
