Network Technician (Level 1 / 2) — Junior Network Engineer
Wireless ISP (WISP) — NYC
Full-time — On-site

We are a fast-growing Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) based in NYC. We're looking for a hands-on Level 1 / 2 Network Technician to work closely with our Lead Network Engineer to support and grow our network.

This is a great opportunity for someone with basic to intermediate networking skills who is eager to learn, contribute, and take ownership of day-to-day network operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work closely with the Lead Network Engineer to:
• Provision new customer setups and equipment
• Keep up with network upgrades and updates
• Troubleshoot network issues as they arise
• Perform proactive maintenance on core and edge devices
• Collaborate with field techs to support installations and service calls
• Configure and support routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and related network services
• Monitor network health and performance using tools like Zabbix, LibreNMS, Graylog, etc..
• Help document network changes and configurations

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

• Basic to intermediate experience with:
• OSPF, BGP, VLAN configuration & troubleshooting
• MikroTik RouterOS (preferred), or Cisco / Juniper experience with willingness to learn MikroTik
• IP addressing and subnetting
• Familiarity with wireless (PtP, PtMP) technologies is a plus
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, real-world ISP environment
• Strong desire to learn and grow technical skills

Requirements

• Some hands-on networking experience (professional, lab, or home lab)
• Comfortable working on-site and occasionally assisting with physical installs or maintenance
• Valid NYC driver’s license
• Must be based in NYC (this is not a remote position)

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a WISP / ISP environment
• Experience supporting field technicians
• Familiarity with network monitoring & troubleshooting tools
